Armed Security Training

Sentricom's armed security training program consists of comprehensive training courses designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge required for responsibly carrying and utilizing firearms in the private security industry. The training typically covers a range of essential topics, including firearm safety, marksmanship, legal aspects of the use of force, arrest authority, and ethical considerations in the security field. Participants undergo practical, scenario-based exercises that simulate real-life and stressful situations, allowing them to apply learned skills in dynamic and challenging environments. The curriculum often includes modules on basic security officer training, use of force training, emergency procedures, and legal guidelines specific to the jurisdiction officers will be operating in.

 

Successful completion of our armed security training program will allow students to be eligible to apply for a DCJS security officer registration and firearms endorsement, which is a requirement to work as an armed security officer. Our training ensures that individuals are well-prepared, adhere to legal standards, and can effectively contribute to public safety.
